Title: Playing Paradise Tunes on Ubuntu Linux
Tags: Ubuntu Linux
Blog Entry: Just a quick note.... I couldn't find a way to get paradise to play either out of Opera or Firefox. I had erased Chrome because it is still in Beta for linux and I was having problems. I chose the winamp url when it came up on a blank screen and wrote it into the KM Player. KM Player is available on both the Gnome snd KDE system although it was written for KDE4. It works on Ubuntu Linux 9.10. Just do what I outlined above and save in the bookmark section of KM Player. Paradise tunes works and the name of the song being played appears in the panel below. It is for purists, however in that the actual name of the originating station never appears on the screen (only the URL appears). I tried it with VLC. It did not work either. There are other players such as Audacious which might work with it. Thought you all needed to know. TeaGeeLee
